The Open Beta

We'd like to launch Jadebook, a modern web journal. We're launching as an `open beta` meaning it's not official just yet.

Introduction

Jadebook is built by a single person mainly because other journal apps either had really outrageous paywalled features (like bolding text???) or didn't have good UI/UX etc. It's built on the modern tech stack, meant to scalable and secure.

I think it's not a good idea to paywall journalling at least the main parts which is why Jadebook supports device-sync, encryption, unlimited journal entries, and most customisation out the box, for free.

Current Features

We support pretty everything other journal app does, things like journal entrys, file upload, tags, search etc. But we also have a couple more features such as AI stuff, goal tracking, prompted journals etc. We also have a lot of customisability, from what you want in the bubble menu, to the colors and layout.

What's missing

Currently, Jadebook is only available on the web. It's completely mobile-responsive but we don't have official mobile apps launched yet, although they are definitely planned to come.

We also want a couple features such as medical share, soft deletes, assets management, exporting all entires at once, saving AI Chats and more.

Medical Share (name may change) is currently is Alpha and the goal is to allow you to share your entires with others such as your therapist.

Currently, single entry export is implemented but we obviously want you to be able to export everything

Jadebook will fully launch once those features are completed. Once other platforms are supported, you'll be able to login and access everything like normal. Imagine charging for different devices 💀

A couple notes

You may find a couple bugs, or opportunities to improve the app. Don't hesitate to let me know either through the feedback form within the app, discord (which I'll eventually make), or even just a message on social media.

Also, considering that `vibe coding` has become a thing now and people are launching saas products like crazy, I thought it'd be good to let you know that this was not vibe coded :)
